In this chapter, Nick paints a perfect picture of the "New World" and the idea that America is for dreamers and those who are willing to strive. The gap between rich and poor is illuminated as the poor long to be rich and they hold the moral in the world while the rich only care for being richer and like Tom and Daisy have no interested but their own in mind.
