I have to admit, i am a little confused with the narrator of the story. I originally thought it would have been Gatsby himself. However, i think the reasoning of a different point of view because of prior knowledge that Gatsby is more of a "want to be" so to speak and Nick is the type of person who knows what he has but is not stuck up and unlike the rest of the West Egg community, he is not ashamed of social interaction especially among the East Egg society.
